In this painting, you see a woman walking through the tall grass in the evening twilight, just outside her home. The moment feels quiet and intimate, yet full of movement. Her light dress catches the wind and seems to carry her forwards, as if she's heading toward something still unknown.
Perhaps she stepped outside for a moment alone, to clear her mind. Or maybe she's taking a step away from what she's leaving behind. That question remains open on purpose. The soft fading light, the dark ground beneath her feet, and the motion in her dress together create a sense of freedom - a freedom not yet fully reached, but already calling her.
